Life Drawing
Course Outline
This introductory workshop will cover many of the techniques to develop life drawing skills, ideal for those wanting to learn and improve, build a portfolio or for beginners who would like to just have a go.
A life drawing is a drawing of the human figure, traditionally nude, from observation of a live model. Creating life drawings, or life studies, in a life class, has been a large element in the traditional training of artists in the Western world since the Renaissance.
Sessions begin with a series of short poses as warm ups, before tackling longer more studied poses.
Techniques and themes are introduced that encourage improvement.
