This is a more advanced course in figurative painting that deconstructs the complexity of painting the human form.
The course offers an in-depth exploration of figurative painting, focusing on creating truthful and compelling representations of the human form.
Students will develop a strategic approach to proportion, anatomy, and movement while refining their ability to manipulate light, shadow, and colour temperature.
Through systematic lessons, demonstrations, and practical exercises, participants will learn to balance structure and fluidity, use comparative measurement techniques, and enhance their compositions with intentional design.
The course emphasises problem-solving, continuous refinement, and artistic decision-making to help students create dynamic and expressive figure paintings. Suitable for intermediate to advanced artists seeking to deepen their understanding of figurative painting.
