One-to-One Tutorials in Art & Academic Writing
I offer personalised one-to-one tutorials via Teams or Zoom for art students at BA and MA level, designed to support both their academic and creative development. As a published academic and current PhD researcher, with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking, an MA with Distinction in Contemporary Dialogues: Fine Art, and a PGCE (PCET), I bring a strong foundation in critical theory, practice-led research, and higher education teaching.
My tutorials can help with:
Academic and creative writing: essays, dissertations, artist statements, and reflective journals.
Coursework and research guidance: structuring arguments, developing methodologies, and refining ideas.
Portfolio development: feedback on artwork, presentation, and contextualisation.
Creative practice support: painting, drawing, printmaking, installation, photography, and interdisciplinary projects.
Having taught in both adult learning and higher education, I understand the challenges of balancing practical work with academic demands. My approach is tailored, encouraging students to clarify their thinking, articulate their practice, and strengthen their academic confidence.
Whether you need focused support with written assignments or constructive feedback on your studio work, I aim to provide clear, encouraging, and rigorous guidance that helps you progress with confidence.
Consultations from £40.- an hour.
